Three day International seminar begins at NUALS
The recent trend of protectionism and nationalism spotted in some developed nations does not seem to be a reaction to globalisation but is a consequence of the refugee crisis in their immediate neighbourhood, observed Prof. (Dr.) Katz, US Professor of Law at NUALS. She was inaugurating the three day international seminar on the topic Changing Contours of Economic Reforms - Impact on Emerging Economies'. Though globalisation improved availability of goods for consumers in the developed world, the consequential economic reforms that made it possible has resulted in the deprivation of their best resources for the people of the exporting countries, she said..
The inaugural function was presided by Prof. (Dr.) K.C. Sunny, Vice-Chancellor, NUALS. The seminar papers were released as a book by Prof. (Dr.) Katz by handing it over to MG Mahadev, Registrar, NUALS. Around thirty delegates are participating in the seminar. Dr. Anil R. Nair, Director, Centre for Parliamentary Studies and Law Reforms, NUALS welcomed the participants. Prof. (Dr.) Mini S. , Member, Executive Council, NUALS proposed the vote of thanks.
